This is a global on/off switch for instructing RockSolid to analyse CPU performance related baselines and ranges. Under normal circumstances this should be enabled as this will ensure high CPU conditions (as determined by baselining or ranges) will be raised.
However, systems undergoing periods when unusual level's of high CPU load is expected may raise alerts without specific action being possible by the administration team. In this situation it may be desirable to disable CPU alerting for a period of time. This is a convenient method of disabling CPU related alerts without needing to edit your baseline of performance range configurations. This allows for quick re-re-enablement of CPU performance alerting in future.
