SETTING: Raise Service Requests from Events

This setting instructs RockSolid to raise service requests for events which are indicating:

  • An error condition
  • A non-compliance condition
  • An expected failure
  • A performance condition

This setting must be enabled for RockSolid to provide alerting capability.  When this setting is enabled, RockSolid will raise alerts in the form of Service Requests.  These can be managed, prioritised, escalated and automated using the extensive RockSolid issue management functionality.

This setting should only be disable when RockSolid is not providing alerting capabilities, such as when data is being collected solely for the purpose of display in RockSolid dashboards or reports.
