How to Apply a RockSolidAgent Hotfix

From time to time high priority issues may be resolved outside the normal release cycle in the form of a hotfix.  Hotfixes are designed to resolved specific issues and should only be applied if you are experiencing the issue that the hotfix resolves.

To apply a RockSolidAgent (RockSolid Client Agent) hotfix please follow this procedure.

1)      The hotfix will be supplied in the form of a .ZIP compressed folder.  Please copy the hotfix to the relevant RockSolidAgent server(s).

2)      Stop the RockSolidAgent service.

3)      Extract the hotfix .ZIP file and copy the contents of the .ZIP file into the RockSolidAgent application folder.  This folder is usually located:

32bit: \Program Files\Red Rock SQL Services\Rock Solid Agent\

64 bit: \Program Files (x86)\Red Rock SQL Services\Rock Solid Agent\

4)      Restart the RockSolidAgent service.

5)      This process will need to be repeated for every RockSolidAgent service that requires the hotfix.
